Join Us to Honor

Tustin City Councilmember Letitia Clark

The Democratic Foundation of Orange County invites you to a luncheon in honor of Tustin City Councilmember Letitia Clark. The Foundation is proud to have honored Letitia when she was a candidate for Tustin City Council. Tustin is now a Democratic city, and Letitia has been elected by the residents of Tustin to be one of their representatives.

Letitia is a third-generation Orange County native and a graduate of Tustin High school. After earning her bachelors in Political Science and Public Administration at Xavier University of Louisiana, she earned a master’s degree of public policy from New England College and a certificate in non-profit management from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Her experience as a member of New Orleans’s essential recovery team in response to Hurricane Katrina during her time in New Orleans prepared her for the difficult challenges that present themselves in local government. Since returning to Tustin, Letitia has been an active member of the community as a member on the Tustin Community Foundation Board, the Tustin Street Fair/Chilli Cook-Off Committee, the Tustin Ranch Elementary School Site Council and the Tustin Unified School District Superintendent’s Council. She currently serves as District Director of Public Affairs, Marketing and Government Relations for the Coast Community College.

Letitia is also an outstanding mentor who has worked to bring people together and provide support for professionals in Orange County. Letitia founded the Black Professionals in Orange County, a group committed to supporting the professional development needs of young and emerging African-Americans in Orange County. She also founded Lean In OC, a circle of women dedicated to supporting each other’s success in career and community; it’s powered by the book LEAN IN, authored by Facebook’s COO, Sheryl Sandberg.

Letitia’s contributions to her community have not gone unnoticed. The OC Register named her as one of the 16 people to watch in 2016, and she was named one of OC Metro Magazine’s Top 25 Leaders on a “Hot” Streak.

Join us on February 28th as we celebrate Letitia’s election and honor the great work she has done for her community!
