Join Us to Honor –
Assemblyman Tom Daly
Representing California’s 69th Assembly District.
The Democratic Foundation of Orange County is excited to honor Assemblymember Tom Daly on Thursday, September 21st, 2017. Tom is a long-time member of the Foundation and one of Orange County’s most dedicated public servants.
Tom is an Orange County native, born and raised in the 69th Assembly District. He worked his way through Harvard University as a janitor, and earned his Bachelors of Arts degree there in 1976. Tom was first elected to office in 1986, when he was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Anaheim Union High School District.
Tom then served as Mayor of Anaheim from 1992-2002. During Tom’s tenure, the Anaheim resort area saw great growth, along with more city parks and incentives for residents to maintain the historic homes of the Anaheim Colony Historic District. From 2002-2012 Tom served as Orange County Clerk-Recorder. Tom helped improve access to documents and developed online systems to improve efficiency for residents.
In 2012, Tom was elected to represent Orange County residents as the Assemblymember for the 69th District. Since then, he has played an important role in Sacramento as a champion for Veterans. He also serves as Chair of the Assembly’s Insurance Committee.
Tom continues to serve in the Assembly representing the residents of Santa Ana, Anaheim, Garden Grove, and Orange. The Foundation is proud to honor Tom! Please join us as we celebrate his accomplishments.
